Participants will learn about tasting phases and techniques and experiment with various wines from different wineries. They will also acquire the necessary vocabulary to help them describe the sensations aroused by the various wines and achieve the sensory training for the better enjoyment of them.
There is also the possibility of taking customised tasting courses for specific groups any day of the week, based on demand.
Muleteers: the experience of fishing
This day starts at around 10:00 in the morning when the group heads to the fishing lagoons, which are 30 km from Rioja Alavesa.
Once there, there is a small course on how to fish trout and use the rods and bait. The activity lasts approximately 1 hour. Then, the group returns to Rioja Alavesa to prepare the fish they have caught. The attendees will clean the fish and then cook it on a grill, together with the other products to complete the dish.
The activity is called “El arriero” (Muleteer), since they, the muleteers, were the people who travelled to the coast with the wine and then returned with fish to sell in the region.
